In 2006, Randall Lamb provided electrical engineering and lighting design services for the Palm Desert Visitor Center, which set a new, environmentally-friendly standard for construction in the California desert, earning a LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Randall Lamb subsequently provided electrical engineering and lighting design for the City’s second LEED project, a $4.5 million, 5,726 sq ft community center.

Designed to work with the hot desert environment, rather than against it, the building used rapidly renewable and recycled materials, and energy and water conserving appliances and fixtures.

Completed in 2008, the Henderson Community Building is the home of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce.
