MEP engineering for a 45,000 sq ft ground-up switch and data center. Initial project entailed construction of a 5,500 sq ft raised access floor data center, (2) 3,000 sq ft switch rooms, a Network Operations Center, admin spaces, and the supporting DC power, UPS, emergency power, and chilled water generating facilities. Electrical design included the electrical service, AC and DC electrical distribution, UPS and battery systems, 6 MW multi-engine standby power system, PLC power breaker transfer system, and lighting systems. Mechanical design included N+1 redundant chilled water plant, precision air conditioning systems, early warning smoke detection, pre-action sprinkler and FE-227 fire suppression systems, chemical agent purge system, DDC control /monitoring systems, diesel fuel system for the standby power and plumbing systems. Subsequent projects included chiller plant and engine generator upgrades to increase capacity, build-out of an additional 2,000 sq ft raised floor data center, and build-out of the final switch /supporting spaces.
