Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, Guest Room Air Balance for LEED Certification, San Diego, CA
Randall Lamb was retained by the San Diego Sheraton Hotel and Marina to analyze the potential of achieving three (3) LEED credits, based on the LEED 2009 rating system. The mechanical evaluation assessed existing conditions of the guest room towers, lobby and fitness center prior to the LEED Certification process. Systems reviewed included building mechanical, electrical and lighting systems to determine sequence of operation; refrigeration including chilled water system; supply air system including existing roof-mounted air handlers; and exhaust air system. In addition, Randall Lamb analyzed the installed lighting fixture types, lighting controls, illumination levels for the public spaces and recommended energy conservation measures based on analysis results.
