Randall Lamb Association

San Diego Community College District (SDCCD), Photovoltaic Program, San Diego, CA

An Award-Winning Project

The San Diego Community College approved a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Borrego Solar to construct and maintain a photovoltaic system that will provide about 2.4 megawatts of green energy across the district. This project is one of the largest of its kind for a college or university system in the nation. The system is located on three major campuses and three continuing education facilities throughout the District.  Along with defining the District’s goals and objectives, Randall Lamb’s scope of services included project developer requirements and process, documentation for third party ownership, turn-key project development, and system sizes and locations.  Along with establishing project scope, renewable energy and carbon credit position and disposition were determined, as well as defining, preparing, distributing and evaluating bidder responses and participating in PPA negotiations.
