Bradley Hollub, PE, LEED AP
What’s your current position at Randall Lamb?
Principal Mechanical Engineer, San Francisco
Who would you consider your role model?
Obviously I owe everything to my parents and family who raised me and helped me navigate the challenges of life, but since this feels like the closest I will get to making an Oscar speech, I need to recognize the most important person in my life: My wife. Orla has been by my side since the day we met and continues to inspire, motivate and challenge me. Her everyday presence reminds me of how lucky I am. She has been – and will continue to be – the love of my life.
What do you like best about your chosen field?
I have to say it’s been the people I work with. Perhaps I’m fortunate to be part of such a great firm, but my peers keep the job fun. I look forward to the opportunities we have in front of us and feel confident in the challenges we face together every day. We really are a team and I can honestly say in my still “youthful” career that I’ve built lasting and concrete relationships with a great group of people. I think our office has succeeded in finding folks who appreciate the same work / life balance I strive to achieve.
What is your favorite pastime?
Kids, climbing and the outdoors. My children are still small, so I haven’t been able to combine them all yet, but I’d be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable time than building forts out of furniture with my kids! I’ve been an avid rock climber for a number of years. It began in college and blossomed here in San Francisco, as rock climbing and the outdoors truly go hand-in-hand in the Bay Area. I’m fortunate to be within reach of the wine country, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Big Sur and the redwood groves, to name a few of my favorite spots.
