20,000 sq ft computer center. The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) is located on the University of California San Diego campus and is jointly operated with the General Atomics Corporation. The center is a national laboratory for computational science and engineering. The facility includes offices, a software visualization laboratory, workrooms, demonstration auditorium, conference rooms and tele-video conference room. We took a proactive position with the lighting design and energy efficiency systems. This resulted in great visual illuminance of the spaces to improve employee productivity, efficiency, and morale, with annual utility savings of over $10,000.
