The San Diego City School District is embarking on a new approach in the design and construction of schools. They are replacing the traditional design-bid-build process with the design-build approach.
Through Proposition MM funding, the District plans to construct three new elementary schools using this method; the first of which is Cherokee Point Elementary School - a 50-plus year structure.
Randall Lamb is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services as part of the Erickson-Hall/HMC Architects design-build team.
